The Wireless Battle Mesh v11 (#WBMv11
) and the Wireless Community Weekend 2018 (#FFWCW18
) will be meshed up and co-located in Berlin from May 07 to May 13, 2018. Since it is the 15th anniversary of the WCW, friends and fellows from across the globe celebrate together wireless mesh network technologies and ideas of community networking.
You can expect to meet with tech experts in mesh technologies, policy discussions, talks, hands on workshops, late night hacking sessions, measurement campaigns and an ongoing barbeque at the riverside. If you are a mesh networking enthusiast, community activist, or simply have an interest in wifi or dynamic routing protocols, you can't miss this event!
You can contact the organizers team by writing to organizers AT wireless-meshup.org.

Thanks to our supporters we are happy to provide some travel scholarships that are given not only but prefered to people not living in Europe to enable members of wireless communities to attend the event.
1) Please apply for the travel scholarships by sending in a link with a 2-3 minutes video that answers the questions below until April 7th to organizers@wireless-meshup.org
We would like to ask you to describe your situation and contribution in short:
2) A jury composed by mentors and local Freifunk team decides on the best applications until 15th April.
3) Easiest way for Förderverein freie Netzwerke is, if you could pay upfront and provide us with the invoices with your name on it. But we can figure out together, how to deal with this in detail as it happens.
If you plan to attend, please add yourself early to this page and provide your meal preferences and t-shirt size, in case you want one (to edit the page you can click here). Start preparing your presentation, lightning talk, workshop, idea, announcement or open space you want to run. The event is *free of charge*, but contributions are very welcome, so please have a look at the supporters page as well, thanks in advance. T-Shirt will cost around 10 EUR.

You can support the wireless-meshup in several ways!
You can volunteer to the organization of the event. Please contact organizers through organizers@wireless-meshup.org
Please fill in which hardware can you bring to the wireless-meshup on the contribution's page. Or what else do you like to contribute, e.g. your local food specialties for the barbecue. Be creative!
Many communities endorse and support “Mesh is in the air”. Endorsing means to announce the event on your mailinglist, twitter, website, blog or podcast which will express your community's involvement in the event. For example, some people of your community might come to the event; some others help with organizing or hold one or more talks and so on.
Additionally but not obligatorily, your community could also donate hardware or money to the event.
You will find an up to date list of the endorsers of the event here. Please adjust the template to your audience, publish it and send the link and your logo to be included below.
If you want to donate some money for event insurance, catering, renting the place. Please reference „Wireless Mesh Up“ in case you transfer to the following bank account or use the betterplace campaign, where receipts will be sent automatically: https://www.betterplace.org/de/projects/12172-freifunk-net
